Launched in 1947 to support students’ career guidance and vocational counseling
A reference in the field of intellectual aptitude assessment, the DAT (Differential Aptitude Tests) battery was launched in 1947 to guide and advise students. It has since been regularly revised and adapted. The Differential Aptitude Tests that it comprises assess cognitive abilities and intellectual aptitudes often used to predict success in training or performance in a job.
The DAT Next Generation battery comprises 5 tests in an adaptive format (the level of difficulty of the questions, randomly selected from a bank of items, automatically adapts to the candidate's abilities) which can also be used independently. 5 tests are measuring the following :
Verbal Analogies
Numerical Calculation
Numerical Sequence
Abstract Reasoning
Spatial Relations.
1) Aim: to assess general intellectual abilities and beyond the potential for adaptation to a training and/or a job.
The DAT battery or one of its component tests is regularly used for :
recruitment
assessment of potential before starting a training course
etc.
2) Audience
From 15 years old
3) Test-taking time
Approximate total time: 12 minutes per test. Total for the battery: 60 minutes.
4) Feedback
1 hour feedback conversation within 48 hours after test-taking.
5) Report
A written report will be sent to you by e-mail within 48 hours after the feedback conversation.
