RAVEN’s is the reference test to assess general cognitive functioning. It measures, in particular, the learning potential alongside to the ability to understand concepts and reasoning without prior knowledge. It therefore provides a first indicator of a person’s intellectual level.
The Raven™ test is closely correlated with the WAIS-IV, which is a more comprehensive measure of the IQ up to 160. The result to the RAVEN’s is an overall score on the same scale as the IQ.
1) Purpose: to assess overall general ability
Raven’s specifically asess abilities required to succeed in many trainings or jobs:
lateral thinking
learning and solving new and complex problems
Used for recruitment prior interviews, talent management ( job alignment), it can also be used for a quick assessment of general abilities in a career guidance process.
2) Audience
15 ans +. Entry level positions.
3) Test-taking time
Timed: 47 minutes.
4) Feedback
30 minutes, within 48 working hours after taking the test.
5) Summary
A written report at the end of the debriefing conversation.
